The theme for our Convention will be “Vibrant Diversity – embracing the changing face of Brewing & Distilling”

Sydney is regarded as Australia’s most beautiful harbour city and many argue it is also the world’s best. With iconic tourist attractions such as the Opera House, Harbour Bridge, fascinating Rocks area, Kings Cross, and some of the best beaches in the world, there will be much for delegates to see within easy reach of the Convention Hotel. The Hotel selected is the award winning Westin Sydney Hotel, within the redeveloped heritage Sydney General Post Office building in the heart of the CBD.
With the growth of a diverse local craft brewing and distilling industries, our Convention will commence on Monday afternoon 14 March with a session focussing on these areas. This will followed by the Official Welcome Function in the evening.

On Tuesday the official plenary session will commence and presentations will be more interactive than in the past, enabling greater delegate participation, and a wider range of diverse topics varying from practical aspects of brewing (particularly Craft brewing) and distilling, to pure and applied science topics. With the new 4 day format, sessions will be more targeted with some concurrent sessions to provide delegates with choices to focus on their particular areas of interest. We believe that this arrangement will deliver better outcomes for attendees, exhibitors and sponsors by offering an innovative and diverse programme.

Suppliers will once again have opportunities to present to small groups outlining their latest products & innovations. The Trade Exhibition for which our Conventions have become so well know will also be a major attraction.

Naturally there will be ample opportunity to network with industry colleagues from all over the world in both a business and social environment.
